Post by Lea Took on Feb 14, 2007 10:01:05 GMT -5
Name: Lea May Took
Age: 11
Half blood or muggle born: Half Blood
Physical Description:
Lea is of average height, but slightly under weight. She is of slim build and is slightly curved at the hips. Lea has a slightly oval face, has a small nose, and her eyes are oval, forest green and pointed near to the nose. She stands at 5 foot 2.
Lea’s hair is cut to be just below her shoulders, it is dusty blond with brown streaks that she claims are natural, but not everyone believes her. Her hair is quite thick, but not so thick that it is unmanageable.
She wears a necklace that consists of a thick thread (not unlike a shoelace); on it is a metal dragon with a blue stone in the centre. It was given to her by her mother, when she visited her family in France.
Personality:
Lea is a feisty girl that has suffered from the divorce of her parents. She can seem like an extremely gullible person at first, but this is only because she wants to set a good example to those around her. Lea can also seem quite shy and very quiet unless you manage to get her into a conversation about books or schoolwork.
At home and in France, she is often seen reading any type of fantasy books that she can lay her hands on. Lea is often seen walking around with her nose in book, when she is not her family joke that she is ill or something had upset her. To this she replies coolly; “Is a girl not allowed to have a change of plot every now and again? ‘Cos if she isn’t then someone’s going to have told her sooner or later!”
At school, she is not got as much of a bookworm as she is at home, but this is because she has more friends here than at her home in England. She will spend quite a bit of time in the evening doing her homework, but only for an hour and a half or so and then she will relax and go over the days events in her head or with her friends.
She can often be found in the library doing homework, in the great hall waiting with friends or just hanging around in the common-room chatting. She can also find a snide remark to those who find reason to doubt her or her work.
Fears: Being invisible, being taunted about her like for fantasy books. Being alone, and losing her family.
Strengths: Smart, loyal, calm, Charms and Transfiguration

Background:
Lea was born to a wizard and a muggle in the spring of 1981. Her father, Albert Took, is a self-respecting man with a decent paying job in the broomstick industry. Her mother, Flora Jones, is a muggle that currently lives in France and works as a tourist guide to wizards and muggles alike.
They met when Albert was meeting his brother, Hector. He owns the well know pub the Three Knights, which is where they met that night. At this time, Flora was working as a barmaid for Hector. Albert fell in love with her and her personality, although, Flora took a little while longer to fall in love with Albert’s charms.
They had their first child in 1979 and named him Jack after a grandfather on Albert’s side. This was in the early spring, so later on in that year; they got married on the 22nd of August. On the 18th of May 1981, Lea was born to them in a hospital in Cannes, after being a week later than the doctors had predicted.
When she was seven years old, her parents divorced. Her mother went back to France and lived with Jack and her family; she also took her maiden name, Jones, back. Albert stayed in England with Lea and kept the name Took. This affected her greatly and, although she had a good childhood, by the age of twelve, she had a few close friends and was spending more time alone in her room. One of the only people she had contact with was her brother Jack. This was because Jack would listen to her problems and try to help her sort them out, and Lea would do the same of him when the times arose. This contact carries on at Hogwarts and at Beauxbatons which is where Jack goes for his schooling.
Important Relationships:
Mother – Lea only sees Flora during the summer holidays. This is because she spends the first half of them in France and the other half in England. However, Lea does have a small amount of contact with her mother during the summer terms.
Father – Lea is very distant from her father as she blames him for the divorce, but she does go home for certain holidays.
Jack – Jack is the only person Lea has any real contact with; they write many letters to each other and she will often ask him to Apparate over whenever possible.
Role-play Sample:
Dear Jack,
I hope you are as well as I am. I have had a good week, but it’s not been very eventful. How are Jane and Mother? I hope that they are both well.
Dad’s not very well, but I did offer to stay at home and look after him, but he said no, luckily. He seems to have a high fever and has taken time off work. Opal is looking after him for the time being until he can find a decent enough person to look after him.
At school, Ravenclaw beat Hufflepuff in Quidditch and now we’re third in the table. Do you remember Jake my boyfriend? He’s finally asked me to go to Hogsmeade on Halloween! He didn’t get my hints at first, but the penny dropped and he asked me to go yesterday!
Please write back soon. I’m dying to know what happened in your argument with Jane. I’ll see you later.
Lea!!
Xxx
Lea nodded. ‘That should do for him, I know he likes long letters but nothing has happened this week. I’ll send it to him after dinner, so he’ll get it either late tonight or early tomorrow. And they’ll be less people in the Owlery to bug me. “Roux, stop playing with my headband!” She said, giggling. “You always find something, don’t you? Lea shook her head. I’d better get to Herbology, or I’m going to be late!’ “Sorry Roux, but I need my headband now. I’ll see you at lunch.”
Pet: Tabby kitten, aged 1 and ½ called Roux. He likes playing with things that he can bat around the room. Lea is always able to calm down around him.
Wand: Cedar 13” Dragon Heartstring.
