You might be wondering, where are the common rooms?
They are currently hidden from all but myself and the members of the specific House, including the Head of House. This keeps things much more private as it is in canon.
The Staff Office and Staff Residences are also hidden by this feature. Only I and staff members can see them.
I would appreciate feedback on this feature; do you like it or would you rather common rooms and the staff room be only password protected?

I think they should be password protected because when people come to this site, the more forums they see the more likely to sign up they are...but anywhoo that's how I feel.

Could be. Personally, I like the reduction of clutter (hence the House Tables being sub-boards). My thought was that too many boards on the front page could be overwhelming to new role-players.

I really think that the common rooms should be password protected only manily be cause I think that if anyone new on this site, like me, wants to go to the common room of their house, then they can't get in.

Students and Heads of House automatically have access to the common rooms they belong to; they just have to get sorted or hired first. If the commons were password protected, it would be pretty much the same thing; they wouldn't get the password until officially becoming part of the house.

I agree. There are so many boards on the home page already any more would be extra confusing. If we can't look at the boards (as in I as a Huffie can't see the Gryffindor board) then why see their title? It seems silly.

Passwords don't exist right now as the boards are hidden. For example, only Slytherin students, you, and I can see into the Slytherin Common Room. If I were to take the boards out of hiding, then passwords would be neccessary.

True...But then again they can make a new character using new information including another e-mail adress. They can be then sorted using different information and get sorted into another house...

That's true. They don't even have to use a different e-mail because I allow one person to have more than one character.
I know from experience that sites with password protected boards are extremely easy to get into since the passwords can't be complicated or nobody would remember them. With password protection, all somebody has to do is guess the password or get it from another member and they can see into the common rooms. With hidden boards, they have to make another character and I certainly don't mind getting more members as long as they particiapte.
