I saw Eragon today, with a friend, surprisingly. We spent the whole thing laughing at how ridiculous it was. I liked Brom, Jeremy Irons is just so super; and I didn't remember him being so gruff, but I liked it. Saphira is . . . strange and womanly. Arya spoke English, which kinda bothered me. Eragon, well, he looks like a girl and wears clothes that show off his curves. That friend and I are convinced that the actor is secretly female. And I have no idea who that stalking lad was, but he was my favorite. You have no idea what his name is, but you know he means business.

This is an in-depth explanation of Eragon:
Eragon: . . . Wha?
Arya is supposed to have jet black hair, so I'll be annoyed anyway. The "stalking lad" must be Murtagh who was my favorite too. Well, him and Angela. You might hate what happens to Murtagh in the next one or at least roll your eyes profusely. Also, Saphira gets whiney and has PMS throughout the whole thing.

I haven't read the book in so long that I have no idea who anyone, besides the main characters, were. Namely, Saphira, Eragon, Brom and Angela. I hate it when dragons hit puberty . . .

I just recently bought the book... too lazy to start on it, though.

It's a quick read, not terribly complex at all. It can be got through in a fraction of the time it takes to read Half-Blood Prince though it's about the same size.

Half Blood Prince took me less than three days, longer than it should have. But I had to read around school and homework, couldn't just read straight through like I wanted to. : (

I forced myself to read HBP in two days, taking time to do things like eat and sleep, so I could absorb the information better. With OotP, I basically locked myself in my room and refused to turn away from the book unless I absolutely had to.

HBP took me about a week, I read it very slowly, savouring every drop. It was delicious. Mind, I still carried it with me everywhere. But it wasn't the same as, say, The Outstretched Shadow, which travelled with me so I could whip it open whenever I had a spare moment. My father ended up confiscating it because he couldn't get more than two words out of me at a time, and, at meals, I would arrange my food around it so my view of the words wouldn't suffer. Someone should be very proud of what she did to me.
I'm rereading Eragon, seeing how the movie made very little sense to me and I didn't know who anyone was. My Re'em rather reminds me of Brom, "Anyway, I'm not going to stay behind while some stripling gets to run around with a dragon." What with him beng so eye-rolly, eyebrow arching (haha), gruff, sarcastic, or maybe I'm just fixing him out to be like her.

The pride shines brightly. Speaking of, everyone must read The Outstretched Shadow by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory. It'll hook you and I guarantee that you'll never see unicorns as pretty pointy ponies ever again.
Your Re'em is greatly honored by such a comparison and expects a diamond tomb.
I MUST WATCH DRAGONHEART! Nobody makes a dragon like Sean Connery (though Keith David could be a good Ancaladar.)
